I had a lot of fun getting to know this family!   Meet 6 week old Joel and his 2 1/2 year old big brother Luke.   What a pair of adorable, well-behaved little guys!  I was just loving Luke’s bright red spiked hair, and Joel chunky rolls and abundance of brown hair.    At 6 weeks, little Joel was past the stage of the curly and bendy poses that I typically do for newborns, but he was still a pretty good sleeper and seemed very content with everything we did.   I hope I get to see more of these two in the future!

I invited over a friend who had just had a baby to come and help me try out a couple new poses.   And, let me tell you – little Owen was one of the the sweetest, sleepiest, most darling little guys I’ve ever met.  He joins a much older brother and sister, so I know he is going to be one doted on little boy.   Here is Mr. Cutie Pie!

I had been looking forward to the birth of this little guy.  If he is anything like his 2 1/2 year old brother, he is going to be pretty stinkin’ cute!  (I had a great time with Logan this past spring!)   Oh, but what a tiny little man – just under 5lbs, he was my smallest baby to date.  This little one decided to visit the world about a month early.  He was a fantastic sleeper though and did such a great job.  Big brother is still getting used to the idea of a new baby, so it was a challenge getting him in the pictures.  But, I couldn’t believe it when I got home and looked at their pictures – the very first one I took was perfect!  N & J – I’m glad we were able to get a family picture for you!  Give baby Barrett a big hug from me – he is just beautiful!

And this one just made me laugh – he’s going to have some personality! :)

2 months young

August 17, 2009

Well, time continues to fly!  Ellie is 2 1/2 months old now, and she has turned into such a content, happy baby!  The first 6 weeks were a little rough as she wasn’t too excited about life…but we seem to be good now!   Of course, I need to show her off…

This is the “what in the world is that thing stuck to your face?” look…which will soon be replaced with the “not again!” look. :)

I was so excited to finally meet little baby Brody!  He was such a sleepy little peanut.   I’ve photographed this family several times and I had been so looking forward to meeting their newest addition.  Little Brody was a fabulous little model – hardly waking up at all!   Little Brody – you do need to start sleeping better at night for your Mommy though!

My baby boy…

August 5, 2009

Well, my baby boy just isn’t a baby anymore!  It’s hard to believe he’s now 6 years old.   Aiden has so many positive qualities – he’s smart, kind, helpful, silly, thoughtful, obedient, handsome…I could go on!  He is such a great big brother (or a “double big brother” as he says); I’m just so thankful God has placed him in our family.  I can’t wait to see how his personality continues to grow.

*Sigh* I was going down memory lane, looking for pictures of him through the years.  And, wow, we have hundreds of pictures – it was so hard to choose!  So, I might have gone a little overboard here, but I coudn’t narrow them down any more – here are some of my favorites.  :)

August 4th, 2003 – Aiden Clay joined our family.

And now he is a “double big brother.”   He does a great job helping to take care of his sisters – and I know he will continue to as he gets older.  Happy Birthday Aiden Clay – we love you soooo much!
