It’s hard to believe fall is creeping up on us!  The kids are back in school, the mornings are cooler, and the signs for hayrides, pumpkin patches & fall festivals are up!  I just LOVE the brilliant colors and signs of fall!   Colorful trees, pumpkins, hay bales, leaf piles, crunchy red apples, cozy sweaters…love it!

Fall is also one of the best times to have portraits done!   So, I’m offering a limited selection of mini sessions again.  The location will be the beautiful Middle Creek Wildlife Reserve – and we’ll have all those great fall things that I mentioned above (well, except for the cozy sweaters – those will be up to you! :) ).

Here is the information for the mini sessions.  I already have several of the slots filled up – only a few left!  Contact me ASAP to reserve your spot in The October Mini!

Feel free to pass this info. on to any friends who might be interested!   Most of my business is from word-of-mouth, and I am so grateful to all of you for that!  Also remember that for each referral who books a session, you get a $25 print credit!

I have a window display up at the Fun-est Toy Store in Ephrata!  Your kids might know it as, “the bubble store.”  :)  If you are in the area, make sure you stop in and say hello!   It is colorful, kid-friendly and has a great selection of unique toys and games that you can’t find anywhere else!

These pictures aren’t the best…but you get the idea. :)

On Saturday, May 15th, I will be doing a day of mini sessions at a lovely outdoor location.  Mini sessions are short 20 minute sessions, perfect for those of you who can’t afford, or don’t need a full session – but still want beautiful portraits.   As an added bonus, I am giving a $25 print credit as well!   You will get 5-10 professionally edited images on an online gallery.  Do not wait, I can only take the 1st 8 people to contact me!  To reserve your session, contact me at bonnie@cbportraits.com or by phone at 717-341-5088

All prints and products can be purchased at regular CB Portraits pricing.  Print prices start at: 5×7 and smaller – $20, 8×10 – $35.  Don’t forget my everyday Referral Special:  For every person you refer that books a session, you receive a $25 print credit.  So start spreading the word!

Here are a few pictures from the portrait location.  And, of course, it will be much more green and colorful in May!

Oh, and I almost forgot!  The winner of the contest is entry #20 – Carla Andrews!  She wins a free mini session and a free 8×10!

Congratulations Carla!

This next session was something I have not done before – photograph musicians.   It isn’t something I want to do regularly (I’m sticking to babies and kids!) – but I couldn’t resist when they asked me to photograph them for a CD they are making.   I have known all of the younger girls since they were very little – so it is pretty amazing to see how they have grown into such lovely young women with so much talent!

We really had a lot of fun doing these pictures – and they were such troopers!  It was so cold at some points during the session that the girls were literally shaking!  And, with the session being at the most difficult time of the day for good light – high noon – I was having to move them constantly to try and get the right lighting on the whole group.

We had a good time and got some great pictures that they will be able to use for their CD.  Here’s my plug for them -  they are an amazing sounding string ensemble who play at weddings and events.  If you are interested in using them and want to listen to a demo CD, contact me and I’ll make sure you get one!

I’ll post this again for those of you who might have forgotten.   Only 3 days left! Contact me at bonnie@cbportraits.com or (717)341-5088 to book your session!

Miss Hannah knew what she wanted…a senior session in the snow! It was tricky trying to schedule her session as we waited for snow, and then tried to dodge the snow storms. But, we were finally able to do it and it was lots of fun!  I met her at the Stoudtburg Village -  a place that has got to be one of the best kept secrets in Pennsylvania!  It is made up of quaint, brightly-colored shops developed to look like an old-fashioned European village.  Most of it was closed when we were there, and the deep snow made getting around some places tricky, so I can’t wait to go back and check it out some more!

Okay, back to Miss Hannah and her senior session.  She told me being in front of a camera made her uncomfortable, and she  hadn’t really wanted senior pictures taken.  But, her parents convinced her she needed to after seeing one of my other senior session galleries.  She was a girl who knew what she wanted though – and I think she rocked the camera, don’t you?!

November 20, 2009

I can’t believe 2009 is already soon coming to an end.  It seems like just as I start to actually remember what year we are in, it changes!  I so greatly appreciate all my clients from this year, many of whom I’d now consider my friends!   It is so great to be able to meet so many wonderful families!

This post is just to let everyone know that I am completely booked through the end of the year.  I actually won’t be taking on any new sessions until March – with the exception of maternity/infant sessions and the occasional baby under 1 year old.    So, feel free to contact me if you would like a maternity/infant session, or you have a child under 1 year old.

To everyone else, I am very excited to jump back into on-location photography once the weather starts to warm up again!  Feel free to contact me to set up a session for this spring.   And, just to give you a heads-up, my prices will be going up starting in 2010 (It will be the first time I have ever raised my prices…it needs to be done!).  However, if you book your session before the end of this year, you will be locked into the 2009 pricing.  So, take advantage of it!  :)

And, because what’s a post without a picture…here’s my little cutie pie.  Can you believe she is 5 months already?!
