Chris and Betsy’s Wedding

September 16, 2009

It has been a while since Courtney and I have done a wedding…and it will probably be a while before we do another one.  We are both in “baby mode” right now…me having had my little girl 3 months ago, and Courtney due to have her little girl in about 2 months!

Chris and Betsy’s wedding fit right into our “in between” stage – and we were looking forward to doing one after so long!  They couldn’t have had a more gorgeous day – it was just perfect.  There were a lot things fit into this special day, and every part of it was a beautiful success!   It was neat to be around the two of them; their love for each other is obvious.   Here are a few pictures from their wedding…

Stephen & Rebecca

March 4, 2009

Our good friend Rebecca got married this past weekend!  We weren’t the official photographers for her wedding though.  Courtney was in the wedding, and I’m 6 1/2 months pregnant…it just wouldn’t have worked.  So it was nice to be able to enjoy the wedding from a view other than that of a photographer.   That’s not to say we didn’t take pictures!  We mainly took them at the reception as we had volunteered to cover that aspect of it.

It was such a fun wedding – Rebecca is so expressive and the two of them are obviously so in love!  We don’t really know Stephen that well – their dating/engagement/wedding all took place in a matter of months!  But, seeing them together, it is obvious they are meant for eachother.   Congrats you two – we hope you like your pictures!

These next two are me shooting from my seat.  I have no idea who she saw to evoke the expression below – but it was great!  She is probably the most expressive bride I’ve seen yet!

This was hilarious!  Rebecca came out in goggles and it was a good thing she did!  I think it was one of the groomsmen who poured the whole bucket of bird seed on them.  Every time I look at these pictures I wonder how much of it she got in her mouth!

Listening to the toast from Stephen’s brother…this was probably the point where Stephen’s younger brother was lovingly mocking Stephen about his size.  :)

Stephen caught in a moment of pondering…possibly trying to figure out if being a bride might have been a better deal.

Joe & Ashley’s Wedding

February 12, 2009

Courtney and I had the privilege of photographing Joe and Ashley’s wedding recently!  It was a beautiful, yet very cold winter day.  The church was very lovely and quaint, yet a challenge for us as it is probably the smallest church we have ever shot in.   Joe and Ashley looked stunning and very much ready to finally tie the knot!  They were so easy to work with and such a beautiful couple to photograph.  We wish you two all the best!

This little flower girl was adorable – she really had a lot of charisma and spunk for one so young.   She was  fun to get pictures of!

Did I mention this was a cold day?  It was FREEZING out – probably around 20 degrees!  We were so glad Ashley and Joe were up for getting some quick shots outside.   This spot we had them stand was about the only spot available.  The ground was snow covered with a very bright glare, and the church was surrounded by a parking lot and graveyard on all sides.  We picked a good spot and shot away before poor Ashley froze!

This was sweet.  The pastor was saying something about how his message was not only for Joe and Ashley, but all the married couples in the room.  He suggested everyone take the hand of their partner.  Here are Joe’s grandparents, showing their love for eachother.   They were also the winners of the dancing contest at the reception for being married the longest!

Clayt & Laura

June 27, 2008

Clayt and Laura couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day to get married! They got married on the lovely grounds of the Millport Conservancy. Courtney and I had a really great day with them!
These two were so funny – they weren’t so much into the lovey dovey intimate moments, as they were the practical details of the day. They have been dating for a good amount of time, and I think they were just READY to be married.
Here’s a touching moment we captured…
The Beginning

Laura was such a stunning bride!

The guys were good sports. Thanks for not dropping the camera Clayt! :)

This is Laura holding her adorable niece. The baby’s parents are missionaries in Japan, so I think this was the first time everyone had met her.

The cupcakes were delicious! I had to laugh when the DJ came over to us and said, “they are about ready to cut the cupcake!”

This last one is my favorite I think! Clayt and Laura, it is evident how much you love God and eachother. Thank you for letting us share this special day with you!
