String Ensemble * Lancaster Portrait Photography

This next session was something I have not done before – photograph musicians.   It isn’t something I want to do regularly (I’m sticking to babies and kids!) – but I couldn’t resist when they asked me to photograph them for a CD they are making.   I have known all of the younger girls since they were very little – so it is pretty amazing to see how they have grown into such lovely young women with so much talent!

We really had a lot of fun doing these pictures – and they were such troopers!  It was so cold at some points during the session that the girls were literally shaking!  And, with the session being at the most difficult time of the day for good light – high noon – I was having to move them constantly to try and get the right lighting on the whole group.

We had a good time and got some great pictures that they will be able to use for their CD.  Here’s my plug for them -  they are an amazing sounding string ensemble who play at weddings and events.  If you are interested in using them and want to listen to a demo CD, contact me and I’ll make sure you get one!

Great images! They look like they’re having a ball.

Awesome! I love how you incooperated their instruments into the shoot! I have a session with a teen coming up who plays the violin! You have given me some inspiration!
